While you wait for the fascinating news of my work for the Feminist Materialism conference, here is a treat for my Danish readers: En Blodig Affærre (A Bloody Affair) is a short documentary by my sister Anna Wistreich and her fellow film and media students Amanda Appel, Cecilie Jørck, Stine Juul and Line Færch. I’m afraid a texted version does not yet exist, so English speaking readers, please have patience (sorry and thanks!.
The film sees three menstruators of different ages and life worlds talk about menarche and what it means to menstruate at different times in life. It’s lovely and features my friend and main menstruator Christine, who was a bit sad that so many of her important points didn’t make it through the final cut. I think we shall solicit a guest blog by Christine for a future Moist. In the meantime, enjoy the beauty.
